July 26-27 - ‘On the light side : Summer of Love’
Capitol City Opera’s 27th Annual On the Light Side will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock. Rock the night away with music from Hair, Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, and iconic music from the flower-child era.
Featuring Atlanta's best singers accompanied by rock trio, this "indoor picnic" fundraiser is one of the Company's most popular events and includes a silent auction, and a great evening of food, friends, and fun. Come dressed in a Woodstock-themed costume and decorate your table for your chance to win some great prizes.

Music and performance runs through his blood with immediate family consisting of a professional jazz trombonist, a professional choreographer as well as a professional vocalist. This emanates in each performance as Matt lights up the stage with a charismatic smile and exceptional singing. Influenced heavily by the musical stylings of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Michael Buble, you'll be in the presence of an old soul.

Wednesday, the Gordon Vernick Quartet perform a few numbers then invite other musicians and singers to join them on stage for a Jazz Jam Session. Whether you're a professional or amateur musician, you're welcome to sit in — everyone who wants to perform will be given a chance to play.

VELVET NOTE - Alpharetta
Come out Thursday nights in the comfort of The Velvet Note Living Room. Meet the best, most passionate local area musicians, make essential connections and relax and enjoy the scene. THIS is the area fun-spot–the place to meet others who play and/or simply enjoy great music, and it’s the ONLY Thursday night jam on the north side of town. Only $8 and no reservations necessary. All styles and genres are welcomed, so scootch on in here as a performer or spectator–it’s all fun!
